WINTER ESCAPE

So heres 2016, the holidays are over, were back at work and its January  which basically means, that for the next two or three months, we are going to be cold and stumbling around in the dark, wishing for summer. Heres my New-Years blues cure: a short trip to Lake Garda, precisely to La Premignaga, on the west side of the lake. In my previous posts I already told you a little bit about my stay at the casale, where I spent the turn of the year. This adorable countryhouse dates back to the seventeenth century and can only be reached by crossing the historic centre of a tiny village, through a small narrow road. Owner Daniella Ondelli reclaimed and renovated the partially collapsed estate a small Franciscan monastery, which had been left to decay using original, natural materials such as brick, stone and wood, and turned it into a charming, yet modern shabby-chic retreat, with eight cozy apartments and a heated swimming pool.

So if youd like to escape the winter gloom for a few days, sit by the pool and soak in some winter sun, or in front of the fire, overlook the lake, listen to the chirping of the birds, stroll the promenade of the nearby town of Salò (or go shopping it has the cutest Italian boutiques) AND get a special price, then head over to their website and book your holiday now.
