Welcome to KristinHesse.com!
Kristin Hesse is a photographer, designer and personal style blogger from Munich, Germany. In 2011 Kristin started “Emmi&Lu”, an experimental parental leave project, which started with illustrations for her daughter Emmi’s room. Kristin’s work soon became recognised and has been featured on fashion blogs such as “The Blonde Salad” by Chiara Ferragni. She was asked to create illustrations of the runway-looks of fashion events such as Berlin and Paris Fashion Week, or the VOGUE Fashions Night Out. Documenting her journey on her personal blog and on Social Media (a mix of illustrations, photography and personal style), fashion brands soon started to take an interest in collaborating and so Kristin discovered the potential of making blogging her profession. In 2014 Kristin went to L.A. to set up “The Top Blog” a fashion and lifestyle blog for the 10th anniversary of Germany’s next Topmodel by Heidi Klum. In 2015 Kristin used the success of her own blog to partner up with fashion brands like Levi’s, Closed, EMU, Estée Lauder, Triumph Lingerie and many more. She travelled the world for several travel and lifestyle companies and visited hotel chains such as The Sheraton, The Luxury Collection, Kempinski Hotels, Mazagan and others. Kristin has also launched several design collaborations, such as an illustrated scarf for POM Amsterdam and a t-shirt collection for RAD, which has sold out completely.
Not only does Kristin take almost all of her photos herself, she shoots outfits and lookbooks for fashion clients too. Kristin also consults brands who need help with their social media presence.
Unfortunately, in early 2017 Kristin’s blog was hacked and most of her work got lost. She re-launched it in summer 2017.
Kristin studied photography at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Rome. Her work is influenced by fashion, photography and contemporary art.
